Within me, within us,

Reside two abysses.

One beckons desirously, amorously,

The other beckons not,

But, simply, exists,

Unobtrusively.

The ardent beckoning

Is as much us as the other.

We need not separate ourselves from either.

They cannot be silenced,

Only embraced.

Love, but not as I knew it
